A Pub With Real History

Set close to St Nicolas’ Church in Old Shoreham, The Red Lion began life as a 16th-century cottage before later becoming a public house. Over the years, the building was extended and adapted as the village grew, with the pub becoming closely linked to Shoreham’s riverside routes, coaching traffic and the wider Sussex transport network.
